Welcome from Programme Leader

I am delighted that you are thinking about studying to become a primary teacher with us here at Middlesex University.

For an overview of the programme you can find lots of important information on the Middlesex University website on the PGCE Primary Education (with QTS) pages. This microsite is set up as an additional site to help you learn more about what happens at Middlesex from application to induction. No matter what stage of the process you are at, we will help you.

The Primary Education Team are very proud of the quality of teaching you will receive and of the opportunities for you to engage with a range of enrichment experiences. These include taking an optional placement in a Special Educational Needs (SEND) school, Interdisciplinary activities and outdoor learning experiences.

Middlesex University has an excellent reputation for high quality trained teachers. This is shown in the school training grades and employability records. Ninety-eight percent of last year’s finalists were graded by schools as good or outstanding in their final school placement, and over 95% of graduates were in employment within six weeks of graduating.

Keep in touch – we are keen to hear about your experiences and looking forward to meeting you!

Best wishes,

Fiona Bailey
