BA Primary Education
A warm welcome from Helen Farmery, your Programme Leader

I am really pleased that you are considering studying to become a primary teacher with us here at Middlesex University.

I recommend you explore the information on the main Primary Education Middlesex University website for an overview of the programme.

This microsite is set up as an additional site to help you learn more about what happens at Middlesex from application to induction. No matter what stage of the process you are at, we will help you.

The Primary Education Team are proud of the quality of teaching you will receive and of the opportunities for you to immerse in a range of enrichment experiences. These include studying abroad, taking an optional placement in a SEND school, cross curricular activities, outdoor learning, and studying for specialisms in specific areas of interest. Visit the staff photo page to learn who will be teaching and supporting you.

Middlesex University has an excellent reputation for high quality trained teachers. This is shown in the school training grades, degree classifications, and employability records. A hundred percent of the 2018 finalists were graded by schools as outstanding or good in their final school placement. 66% of students achieved a 1st or 2.1 honours degree and 100% of graduates who were looking for NQT posts for the September after graduating are employed and beginning their lives as Primary school teachers. The programme was rated with 97% satisfaction from its final year students in the National Student Survey.

See below for more detailed information of the programme.

Keep in touch – we are keen to hear about your experiences and look forward to meeting you!

Best wishes,
